What counts as an expense when determining my price?

Anything considered an expense on your business’s income statement counts toward your expense total. This includes any salaries, wages, cost of sales, or cost of goods sold. This is how we determine what subscription package is the right fit for your business.

What is the right Bench subscription for my business?

We offer prospective Bench clients a free month’s worth of bookkeeping as a trial of our service. During your trial, we’ll evaluate both your business’s monthly expense volume and the number of accounts and add-ons your business requires. This will help us determine which subscription package is the best fit for your business.

What are accounts and add-ons?

Accounts are defined as any bank account, credit card, virtual credit card or Paypal account that contains business related transactions. Add-ons are defined as any merchant processor, loan or lease, line of credit, or payroll processor.

Why does Bench use expenses, accounts and add-ons to determine price?

As we work with more and more small businesses, we’ve learned a lot about the bookkeeping needs of entrepreneurs. We’ve found that a business’s bookkeeping needs evolve as their level of expenses, accounts and add-ons grows. Bench’s pricing structure best aligns our service and cost with the needs of our clients.

Does Bench have a referral program?

Yes. You can refer your friend by visiting the Refer a Friend  page and getting a unique tracking link. Or, you can tell your friend to mention your name when they speak with one of our onboarding specialists. Doing so will earn each of you one free month of bookkeeping with Bench.
